NCR Endowment Results - Good News
We have a new pin that will be givien to all donors who contribute $100 or more to the NCR Endowment. These lovely gold pins are a great way to show your support to JCI. Basic memberships are available at $25 per year. A small way you can help is to register at www.iGive.com/JCI and list Junior Composers Institute as your cause. All proceeds go to help with expenses of the Junior Composers Institute

Congratulations and News
Congratulations to Jennifer Hackey of Edwardsville, Illinois on winning the Ouida Keck Award in Pedagogy. This is a $1000 award to be used to improve teaching techniques. Three of the five entrants were from the North Central Region.
There were 26 students attending the 2008 session of the Junior Composers Institute. The students came from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Virginia. Yes, out of region states are welcome and encouraged to attend this fine summer music center. Check out www.juniorcomposers.org for more information. Next years dates are July 5-11, 2009 with NCR Federation Days on July 10-11, 2009, both at Augsburg College.
Thanks also to The Schubert Club for again sponsoring scholarships to students to attend JCI. We appreciate their support and participation.
